IHateLovePDF: Client-Side PDF Toolkit
Client-side tool to split, merge, compress, edit, and decrypt PDF files directly in your browser. All file processing stays local, so your documents never touch a remote server.
I build reliable backend services and web applications using Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Redis, and Docker. Focused on clean API design, sensible database schemas, and services that stay fast under load.

I'm Shreyash Srivastava, a backend and full-stack engineer based in Greater Noida, India. Right now, I work as an independent freelance engineer after finishing a 6-month backend internship at JBH Tech Innovation. I am completing my B.Tech in Computer Science at ITS Engineering College (AKTU), graduating in 2026.
Most of my work centers around building REST APIs, designing PostgreSQL schemas with Prisma, and setting up asynchronous message workers with RabbitMQ and Redis. When a product calls for real-time updates, I integrate Socket.io.
"Good backend code is simple, handles failure predictably, and stays out of the user's way."
A collection of projects I've built and deployed, focusing on clean system design, reliable APIs, and responsive frontends.

Ride-sharing API built with Node.js, Express, MongoDB, and Redis. It handles live driver location tracking, fare estimates, and fast pickup matching with dynamic radius expansion.
Before writing any code, I make sure we are aligned on requirements, user constraints, and data flows. Clear specs upfront prevent surprises down the road.
I map out database relations, choose appropriate indexes, and define API contracts. Getting the data model right first keeps everything else straightforward.
I build out endpoints, handle edge cases, and test failure states locally. Code is written to be clean, readable, and easy for any teammate to maintain.
Once the service is in production, I watch query speeds and error logs. When bottlenecks or unexpected issues appear, I address them directly.
